OBJECTIVE

To serve Cedar Grove Druid Order as Ordained Druid Priest, contribute to the general Pagan community, expand my current scope of practice as a minister and priest, currently ordained by the Universal Life Church, in a capacity officially recognized by both the Order, Pagan community, and other religious institutions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

I have experience as both a minister and counselor. I also have education that is equivalent to that found in  seminary training, and my CGDO Seminary/Clergy submission paper is available for perusal from the Grove on request. I am professional, sensitive, and client-centered. I have experience assisting clients to achieve goals, release unwanted habits, enhance emotional and mental abilities, boost self-confidence, and find peace.

EDUCATION

 

Bachelor of Arts, Western Washington University.

My education at university was characterized by a prevailing interest in psychology and hypnosis, anthropology, eco-theology, and human ecology- the relationship between human culture, individuals, and the natural environment. I am currently pursuing these interests further into graduate work.

 

Certified Hypnotherapist, Bellingham Technical College.

Post-Baccalaureate Work.

I am a graduate of Roy Hunter's Art of Hypnotherapy Diversified Client-Centered Hypnosis course of study, a course inspired by the teachings of the legendary Charles Tebbetts.

This is an accredited college program (recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education) involving one academic year, at least 150 hours of instruction and hands-on training; plus experience.

 

Master of Arts, Argosy University/Seattle. (Candidate)

In Counseling Psychology. Preparation for national certification as a mental health counselor, and further pursuit of a doctoral degree.

 

Druid: Solitary Practitioner.

Walking the Way of the Druid since 1995. Over ten years of independent study in general Paganism and Druidism.

 

Bardic Druid: The Order of Bards Ovates and Druids.

Foundational training in Meso-Pagan Druidry by a Druid Order deeply founded in the history of the Druid Revival in England. Since 1999.

 

Druid: Cedar Grove Druid Order.

Certified as Druid, recognized for completion of relevant material for all three grades; Bard, Vate, Druid.

 

Ordained Druid Priest: Cedar Grove Druid Order.

Ordination as Druid Priest and Minister, on completion of relevant material for Seminary/Clergy Training in OCGDF.

Shamanic Practitioner: The Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

Core Shamanism as taught in the Basic Shamanism workshop. This is a cross-cultural foundational training of universal shamanic practice. February, 2003.

 

Certified in Quantum-Touch: Quantum-Touch.

Hands-on-healing modality, similar to Qi-Gong practice. 3/19/05.

 

Certified in CPR: Heartsaver CPR, Bellingham Technical College.

Adult CPR/ Child CPR/ Infant CPR. Completion of the national cognitive and skills evaluations in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association for the Heartsaver CPR Program. 6/10/05.

 

Certified in HIV/AIDS Education, Bellingham Technical College.

Completion of HIV/AIDS Education for the Community, Childcare Providers, and Health Professionals. Winter 2004.

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION: Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy.

Annual continuing education, to meet or exceed the expected professional standards of the hypnotherapy profession. This is a requirement for members of many professional hypnotherapy associations, including The National Guild of Hypnotists.

Continuing education ensures hypnotists and hypnotherapists stay informed of all issues affecting their profession, and to sharpen skills in both the art and science of hypnotism and hypnotherapy.

    Pastoral Counselor. Serve local church in the capacity of pastoral care, tending to the emotional and spiritual needs of the congregation, occasionally utilizing methods of hypnotherapy and relaxation during care.

    Minister/Priest. Leading seasonal celebrations and services, performing weddings, baptisms, memorials/funerals, and sundry. Facilitating church study groups.

    Youth Counselor. Serve the youth of the Lower East side of Manhattan, New York, NY. Duties involved engaging the kids in athletics in a local gym, and facilitating religious education, offering the kids an alternative to gang life on the streets.
